Ashny started her musical journey in 2013 amidst several struggles and for many years had to ride the tide of hope.
In 2015 she made alignment with Koffi Tha Guru who took her under his wings and nurtured her talent by collaborating and working with her on several projects whilst she scuttled through two different record labels.
In 2017 she took time to attend fashion school and train as a seamstress and designer.
In 2019 as a solo artiste she was encouraged to push out the ‘Rough Play’ EP. A collection of several singles with potential but idling away.
She established her own fashion brand ‘Ashionye’ in 2020.
She got a break out single in 2021 and this boosted her profile to commercial notoriety. ‘Fe Mi’, a love ballad became an anthem with her fans and observers.
In 2023, Koffi Tha Guru took up full management, production and representation of the Ashny brand.
After a successful public presentation of her debut album ‘Ashny Ain’t Playing’ in october 2023, Ashny raised the bar for herself by pushing continuos efforts in establishing a worthy familiar and family brand.
Between 2022 and 2024 she featured in movies like Ropo’s Race, Hotel Security, Ghost Writer, Senior Man and Scama O Rama whilst dishing out new singles and the ‘Charity Begins’ EP.
She also started her annual ‘An Ashny Valentine’ concert which holds every February 14 at the freedom park, Lagos.
She has had the priviledge to grace numerous iconic platforms including the Felabration stage in 2023 and 2024, Alibaba January 1st concert in 2024 and 2025 amongst several others.
In 2025 Ashny made history as the first Nigerian female artiste to release 2 major albums [Femme Fatale, and Femalepreneur] within same year and 5 EPs [H.OE, Ashny Swings, Wildcat, Celebrations, A dose of Lagbaja] whilst featuring as lead actress in 2 major movies [An Area Boy, and Stiletto Chikito] and a near-biopic movie about her musical journey ‘Birth Of A Nightingale’.
As lead act in the movie Stiletto chikito she delivered as a multilingual asset of three languages as the movie was shot in three different versions of English, Yoruba and Pidgin.
The movie is broken down into three languages titles. My Lost Daughter, Iyawo Tipa Tipa and Stiletto Chikito.
Ashny is set to be lead actress in the upcoming movie ‘Body count’ whilst also preparing to release new apparels ‘Fuego’ from her fashion label.
She is also set for her ‘Ashny Unboxed’ concert and official release of ‘Femalepreneur’ album which features legends like Salawa Abeni, Yinka Davies,Elvina and Gloria Ibru, Wunmi Obe, Nneka Isaac Moses, Ashionye, Boomerang, Butafly and other notable female acts like Mooh, Yellowgirl, and Kidda. It also re-invents the classic ‘Allen Avenue’ by Weird MC.
Scheduled for Dec.14 at the Mike Adenuga centre, Ikoyi. An evening of value, purpose and finesse.
